Terms and Conditions

Effective 28 September 2026 · Last updated 28 September 2026

These terms apply when you use www.hies.in, book a stay or venue through HIES Reserve, or use HIES Nexus and the other HIES applications.

HIES is operated by Hospitality Industry Enterprise System ("HIES", "we", "us"). By using any of these services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

1. Who these terms apply to

Properties that subscribe to HIES also have a separate subscription agreement with us. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the subscription agreement applies.

  • Visitors to the HIES website.
  • Guests who search for, book, pay for, or manage a booking on HIES Reserve.
  • Properties and their staff who use HIES Nexus, Front Office, Point of Sale, Material Management, e-Kitchen, or any other HIES application.

2. Using the website

The content on this website, including text, screenshots, logos, and design, belongs to HIES or its licensors. You may view and print it for your own information, or to evaluate HIES for your business.

You must not:

  • Copy, republish, sell, rent, or sub-license material from this website.
  • Present HIES content as your own, or use the HIES name or logo without our written permission.
  • Try to disrupt the website, gain unauthorised access to it, or collect data from it with automated tools.

3. Booking through HIES Reserve

HIES Reserve is a booking platform. When you book a room or venue, your contract for the stay or event is with the property, not with HIES. The property sets its rates, taxes, house rules, and cancellation and refund policy, and is responsible for providing the stay or service.

The rates, inclusions, and cancellation policy that apply are shown before you pay and in your booking confirmation. Please read them before you confirm.

Online payments are processed by our payment gateway partner. HIES does not see or store your full card details.

Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel or change a booking under the property's cancellation policy, through My Bookings or by contacting the property. Any refund due under that policy is returned to the original payment method. Once the refund is initiated, the time it takes to reach you depends on your bank or payment provider.

If a property cannot honour a confirmed booking, contact the property first. If the problem is not resolved, contact us at the address below and we will help.

Your responsibilities as a guest

  • Give accurate names, contact details, and guest counts.
  • Keep access to My Bookings secure. It is linked to your mobile number and protected by a one-time password (OTP).
  • Follow the property's check-in requirements, including any identity documents required by law.

4. Using HIES Nexus and other HIES applications

Access to HIES Nexus, including the Android app, and to other HIES applications is given to staff by their property through HIES single sign-on.

  • Keep your sign-in details and device secure, and do not share your account.
  • Use the applications only for your property's legitimate business.
  • The property is responsible for the accuracy of the rates, inventory, and guest data it enters, and for the lawful handling of its guests' personal data.
  • We may suspend access that is used unlawfully, puts other users at risk, or breaches the subscription agreement.

5. HIES subscription fees

Fees for HIES applications are set out in each property's subscription agreement or invoice, and refunds of subscription fees follow that agreement. Guest booking payments made through HIES Reserve are covered by section 3, not by this section.

6. Links to and from this website

You may link to our home page in a way that is fair and does not suggest any endorsement we have not given. We may ask you to remove a link at any time.

This website links to other websites, including property websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

We work to keep the website and applications accurate and available, but we provide them "as is" and do not promise that they will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the extent the law allows, HIES is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the acts or omissions of properties in providing stays and services booked through HIES Reserve. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

8. Privacy and cookies

How we collect and use personal data, and which cookies we use, is explained in our Privacy Policy at www.hies.in/policy.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Dehradun, Uttarakhand, have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any right you have to approach a consumer commission.

11. Grievances and contact

If you have a complaint, write to our Grievance Officer at support@hies.in with "Grievance" in the subject line. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within one month.
